Will I need new equipment?
Maybe, and you'll know before you spend a dollar. If you already run UniFi or TP-Link Omada, we reuse what works. Older or consumer gear usually can't give every site its own network, so it gets replaced. Either way, the free call and your photos tell us what you have, and you get a written list of anything new, with prices, before you sign. No surprises on install day.
Do returning guests have to reconnect every year?
No. A guest who comes back gets the same WiFi key as last time, matched by their email or phone, so their phones, TVs and laptops hop right back on. Seasonals love it. If they want a new key, the front desk resets it in one tap and the new one sticks from then on.
Does the price include internet service?
No. Camp N'at runs the WiFi on the internet service your park already has, and you keep paying your provider as you do today. If your line is too small or keeps dropping, we work out what your park actually needs for the number of sites you have, and we can get it for you through our network of internet providers and installers, so you deal with one team instead of three.
What's the difference between Managed and Managed Plus?
Managed looks after the WiFi on your UniFi or Omada gear. Managed Plus adds the N'at Gateway, our own router, so we control the whole path to the internet: speed limits that really hold, BitTorrent piracy blocked, and copyright notices traced to the site they came from. You buy the gateway kit once (the gateway, a spare, smart plugs, a backup cellular line for us and a remote console) and we run it. If it ever fails, swap in the spare; it takes about ten minutes.
What's the free call?
One hour by phone or Teams. We go over your park, your current WiFi and what's frustrating your guests and staff. After you book, we email a short checklist (photos of your gear, a site map, your internet provider) so the call is useful. If your park needs an onsite look, that's the $1,250 site walk, credited back when you go ahead.
How does the Managed term work?
Managed and Managed Plus have a 12-month term that renews on its own each year. To cancel, give us 90 days' notice before the renewal date. You pay monthly, all year: we add up your season (the per-site rate for the months you're open) and spread it over 12 equal payments, so a 7-month park pays for 7 months, just evenly. We keep watching, updating and backing up the system through the off-season, and your box renewal and offsite backups are included the whole time.
What does the $700 renewal cover?
On Box and Box Pro, year one of updates and support is included. After that, $700 a year keeps security updates, new features, the dashboard and staff support coming. It's included while you're on Managed.
What if an access point or switch breaks?
Open Fix it. It tells your staff whether it's the access point, the cable, the switch, the fiber between buildings, the WiFi controller or the internet, what to try first, and who to call. Many problems clear with the reboot or power cycle button. If a unit is dead, Fix it names the exact model to get. Replacement gear isn't included in any plan unless you add gear coverage, in which case we ship it. Plug it in where the old one was, confirm it from its label, and it takes over the old one's name and settings.
What if someone presses the reset button?
It happens. Fix it spots a factory-reset unit right away, knows where it was, and puts it back with its old settings in one tap. Every reset, swap and restart is logged with who did it, and we see it on our side too.
What happens when our internet goes down?
Guests lose the internet, the same as with any WiFi. Nothing else breaks: the box is on site, so every key already issued stays on the WiFi, along with keys for the next day's arrivals. When the internet comes back, guests are back online without re-entering anything. New keys and changes made in the dashboard go through once it's back.
How do guests get their WiFi key?
By text and email when the reservation is made, from your name and number. One key covers every phone, TV and laptop in their group. If they lose it, the front desk re-sends it in one tap.
Which reservation systems work with it?
Any system that can export a spreadsheet works today. Live connections to popular systems like Campspot, Newbook, RMS, ResNexus and Firefly come on as each one grants access. Ask us about yours.
Can guests see each other's devices?
No. Every site is on its own private network, and guest networks can only reach the internet, never each other or your office.
What do you collect from our box?
Box health and network usage, so we can fix problems before you call. Never what guests browse. Guest names and contact details are kept 180 days after a stay, then cleared.
Do you take calls from our guests?
No. We support your staff, and your staff support your guests. Guest pages and key texts show your office's phone and email, and the tools your front desk needs (re-send a key, unpause a site, check a site's signal) are one tap in the dashboard. When something is beyond the desk, your staff call or text us.
What happens when we pause a site?
Their devices stay connected but lose the internet, and the guest gets a text and email from your park asking them to stop by the office. There's no pop-up login page. Press Resume and they're back on with the same key, and they get a note saying so.
What do guests do if they get stuck?
Every key text links to your park's WiFi help page: how to join, what to do when a TV or console won't connect, and a button to get their key again. It's only ever sent to the phone or email already on their stay. Anything else goes to your front desk.
Can you add cameras?
Yes, as an add-on on UniFi Protect, for the office, the gate, the store and the docks. You and your staff view them in the UniFi Protect app; the footage stays on your park's own recorder, not on our servers. Quoted for your park.
Can we run it ourselves?
Yes. You own the box. Pick the walk-away setup and your staff run it; we still hear about outages so we can help if you call.
